ONE supporters work together to push governments to end extreme poverty and fight preventable, treatable diseases in the poorest places on the planet. From petitions to letters to phone calls to events, we ensure world leaders do more to help women and girls get opportunities to lift themselves and their families out of poverty. And we’re winning.
Here’s a snapshot of what we’ve achieved together:
4 million HIV/TB/Malaria infections stopped.
5 million women in Mali granted land rights.
ONE supporters come from all corners of the planet, every walk of life and from across the political spectrum. We take action day in, day out — organising, mobilising, educating, and advocating so that people will have the chance not just to survive, but to thrive.
Eva Tolage, Tanzania
Eva Tolage, a young campaigner from Tanzania, launched Stand With Eva back in early 2016 and began campaigning locally and nationally to get a clean supply of water for her community and school. Just over a year after Eva launched her campaign, a new water point was installed at her school.
Jonathan Barnes, USA
Jonathan Barnes, a ONE supporter in the United States, cares about helping people around the world — and he knew that others in his rural Kentucky community felt the same way. That’s why he launched a campaign to gather support from around the nation to show his district’s representative that foreign aid is too important to cut.
