What is the ONE Campaign?

What we do

We’re a non-profit organization with a 20-year history of fighting for a more just world.

We focus on advocacy, meaning we drive attention and public support to policies that create healthier lives and economic opportunities in Africa. We’re not a charity or grantmaking organization, and we don’t provide direct aid to implementing programs on the ground. We raise awareness around some of the biggest global challenges around inequity and instability and make a data-driven case for change.

We are strictly nonpartisan and don’t receive any government funding. We are funded by philanthropists, foundations, and corporate partners.

How we do it

We fight for a better future by amplifying voices and driving progress. We build relationships across political parties to create change.

We bring together grassroots activists, cutting-edge data analysis, trusted messengers, and decades of expertise to build political capital and drive policies and investments that create a more resilient, equitable future. Read more about how ONE brings this all together.

From faith leaders to youth activists, we make sure our dedicated network of advocates can take their demands straight to lawmakers – from Washington, D.C. to Abuja to Brussels. They participate in public events, generate support in their communities, and work with ONE to persuade decision-makers to take action.

Why it matters

With two decades of work and 25 million actions taken toward our goals, we have helped create measurable change where it matters most. We’ve helped mobilize $102 trillion for our issue areas, and $114 billion for African countries to weather economic, and health shocks. And our healthcare advocacy has helped save over 50 million lives.

Over 20 years, we’ve built the bridges, mapped the data, and laid the groundwork. And we’re just getting started. Learn more about our work.
