2025 ONE Power Summit

The 2025 ONE Power Summit brought together passionate volunteer advocates for a jam-packed weekend of training, community building, and advocacy.

In March 2025, ONE advocates from 41 different states, representing our community, campus, and faith organizing programs, gathered in Washington, D.C. for ONE’s annual Power Summit – a multi day advocacy and organizing training that culminates in a trip to Capitol Hill to ask Members of Congress to support effective, accountable investments in global health and development.

The summit theme, “Building Champions,” focused on equipping our volunteers with the tools to recruit and mobilize new champions for ONE’s key issues – in their own communities and in the halls of Congress.

Advocates heard from a lineup of inspiring speakers, including former Congressman Ted Yoho (R-FL), who shared his journey from a skeptic to strong advocate of foreign assistance.

Impact

  • The insights from speakers and organizers provided valuable context for the activists ahead of their advocacy meetings
  • The event further motivated attendees to advocate, mobilize, and organize their communities in support of ONE’s campaigns

What We Did

  • We brought together 111 passionate ONE volunteer advocates, ranging in age from 2 to 80
  • Volunteers met with more than 154 congressional offices and at least 15 Members of Congress directly, advocating for continued funding for high-impact programs such as PEPFAR, Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, and the Global Fund
  • We received several bipartisan social media shoutouts, including tweets by Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) and Representative Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA)
