Born to Live is ONE’s global campaign to make sure every child has the chance to survive, thrive and reach their full potential.
Every year, millions of children still die before their fifth birthday from causes we know how to prevent. It doesn’t have to be this way.
We know what works. What we need now is the political will to invest in children and their futures, so more children can grow up healthy, go to school, dream big and shape their own futures.
Because every child deserves the chance to celebrate their fifth birthday and beyond.

It’s Britain’s biggest birthday party and you’re invited!
We’re taking a giant birthday cake with 1,826 candles across the UK this Autumn.
At every stop, people will add candles, decorations and messages of hope, turning a bare cake into a vibrant symbol of support by the time we reach our finale on the Thames in Westminster.
This travelling birthday party is a powerful way to show politicians just how much the country cares about child survival.
WHAT
A giant birthday cake with 1,826 candles, one for every day until a child’s fifth birthday, travelling across the UK this September and October.
WHY
Millions of children still don’t make it to their fifth birthday from causes we know how to prevent. We’re taking the cake across the country to build public support and show our political leaders that people want action.
