Samantha Singh Memorial Award

An award for young people aspiring to careers in development policy

Samantha Singh Memorial Award

Samantha Singh was the Coordinator of ONE’s Policy Team in 2019-2020. In July 2020, she passed away aged 26. Her legacy is one of kindness. She always sought to make things easier for others, make the mundane fun, and was passionate about global development.

In her memory, ONE has established the Samantha Singh Memorial Award for young people aged 16 to 26 aspiring to careers in development policy. The award is open to ONE’s Global Activists. Applicants must answer a policy question identified by The ONE Campaign each year.

The winner, selected by a prize committee made up of ONE staff members and Sam’s family, will be awarded $1,000, a career advice session with a senior ONE staff member, and will be featured on ONE’s blog.
