Extreme poverty has been halved in 20 years, and could be virtually wiped out by 2030. But progress is at risk because of the biggest heist the world has never heard of: The Trillion Dollar Scandal.
Our new report finds that the world’s poorest countries are deprived of $1 trillion each year by criminals through money laundering, tax evasion and embezzlement. It’s money that could be used to fund the fight against extreme poverty, disease and hunger.
We need new global laws that will break the web of secrecy.
