In 2015, world leaders agreed to 17 global goals for a better world by 2030. These goals have the power to end poverty, fight inequality, and change the world for the better. Guided by these goals, it is now up to all of us –governments, businesses, civil society, and the general public – to work together to build a better future for everyone.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Global Goal #4 is a quality education.<\/strong> Nobel Prize winner Malala Yousafzai once said, “One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world.”<\/p>\n

A quality education gives us all the chance to build a better life. For children born into poverty, it’s an essential part of their way out of it. This is especially true for girls in developing countries, who face additional barriers that can make education elusive. There needs to be a prioritization for every child to receive an education, especially young girls and women.<\/p>\n

Goal #4 has ten targets, including ensuring that all children complete free, equitable, and quality primary and secondary education. This goal also seeks to provide quality vocational, technical, and tertiary education that is affordable and accessible.<\/p>\n

As access to education expands to more people, there will be a need to supply the world with qualified teachers. To achieve this, we’ll need international cooperation for teacher training in developing countries, especially least developed countries and small island states.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

If we can achieve quality education for all, every child will have a much better chance of reaching their full potential, and we’ll all be better off as a result.<\/p>\n
