The ONE Campaign is a global, nonpartisan, non-profit organization focused on creating healthier lives and economic prosperity in Africa. Through engagement with US members of congress and staff, global policy makers, partner organizations, and the private sector, ONE seeks to strengthen the resiliency and independence of the health and financial sectors of Africa by 2035.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Program Summary<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

ONE is establishing a bipartisan fellowship program \u2013 ONE Fellows \u2013 to engage and educate congressional staffers on US foreign policy and development approaches in Africa. The goal of ONE Fellows is to increase knowledge of needs and opportunities across Africa, with focus on health and economic sectors. ONE Fellows will receive in-depth overviews on the history of US development assistance and policy approaches towards Africa and discuss the shifting global landscape as the US role evolves under the current Administration. ONE Fellows will also engage in discussions about Congress\u2019 role in these topics, including a history of legislative action involving Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ONE Fellows will be required to attend one seminar per month hosted by ONE. Seminars will last 1.5-2 hours in length, and cover applicable topics related to US foreign assistance policies and engagement with Africa. Seminars may be held over breakfast, lunch, or in the evening (times of events will be varied to accommodate all schedules). Seminars will include presentations and discussions with current and former US government officials, partner organizations that support foreign policy and engagement with Africa, US members of congress, current and former Ambassadors, including relevant African ambassadors, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Though candidates of all backgrounds will be reviewed, at least three years of professional experience is preferred. Ideal candidates for the program will have experience and interest in foreign policy. At the conclusion of the Fellowship, fellows who have successfully completed the 10 seminars will receive a certificate from ONE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
