WASHINGTON<\/strong> \u2013 The ONE Campaign is flipping the script on the traditional celebrity-driven public service announcement (PSA) and is instead highlighting the work of the not-so-famous men and women who are committed to the fight against extreme poverty. Its latest PSA, Halfway There<\/strong><\/em>,<\/a> celebrates the fact that millions of ordinary Americans have joined ONE to help accomplish something extraordinary \u2013 cutting poverty in half globally in the past decade and a half.<\/p>\n

We are proud to shine a spotlight on some of our most passionate and committed activists,\u201d says ONE US Executive Director Tom Hart<\/strong>. \u201cThis PSA recognizes that our organization\u2019s accomplishments wouldn’t have happened without the dedication and hard work of Americans of all stripes who believe in the importance of life-saving foreign assistance programs.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Halfway There<\/strong> <\/em><\/a>was conceived and produced pro bono by ONE supporters at Reel FX<\/strong>, an animation, visual effects, and design studio based in Dallas and Santa Monica, and 3Headed Monster<\/strong>, a story, design, and technology agency based in Dallas. It imagines a world where Dr. Martin Luther King or Nelson Mandela had given up halfway through their missions to make lasting change. It implores viewers, too, to remain committed to the fight against extreme poverty and features ONE members affirming their commitment to remaining in the fight until we finish the job of fully eradicating it.<\/p>\n

ABOUT REEL FX<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reel FX develops and produces animated films and short form content. The company\u2019s feature slate, released under\u00a0its\u00a0Reel FX Animation Studios\u00a0banner, includes The<\/em>\u00a0Book of Life<\/em>\u00a0with Twentieth Century Fox, which will be released in theaters\u00a0on October 17th<\/sup>, 2014\u00a0and an adaptation of the\u00a0Beasts of Burden<\/em>\u00a0graphic novel. Based out of Dallas, Texas, Reel FX launched its feature length development and production slate in 2010 after almost 20 years of experience as an award-winning one-stop studio for the creation of animated content including films, special attraction\/live venue projects, commercials, and interactive projects for companies like Fox, Warner Bros., DreamWorks Animation and Universal Studios. The studio maintains a short form division focused on commercials, music videos, theme park\u00a0attractions\u00a0and virtual reality content.<\/p>\n

Since starting the development and production of feature films, Reel FX has aligned itself with some of the most recognized and respected names and brands in the entertainment industry for its projects including\u00a0Free Birds\u00a0<\/em>(Jimmy Hayward, Scott Mosier),\u00a0The Book of Life<\/em>\u00a0(Guillermo Del Toro, Jorge R. Gutierrez), the\u00a0Beasts of Burden<\/em>\u00a0adaptation (Dark Horse Comics, Andrew Adamson, Aron Warner).<\/p>\n
