This commitment underscores the vital role America continues to play in protecting global health and advancing progress against the world\u2019s deadliest infectious diseases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Elizabeth Hoffman, Executive Director of North America at the ONE Campaign:<\/strong> \u201cThe renewed commitment demonstrates the effectiveness and success of the Global Fund in the fight against HIV, TB and malaria. I am pleased that Senior Official Jeremy Lewin highlighted the crucial role that the Global Fund plays in ensuring U.S. global health leadership and vowed to maintain the longstanding 1 to 2 pledging match. As we look ahead, the path to a fully resourced Global Fund remains with Congress. We will continue to encourage Congress to maintain strong support for the Global Fund and ensure the timely disbursement of existing funds.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the appropriations process moves forward, ONE urges Congress to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maintain strong support for the Global Fund in upcoming funding bills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure the Administration disburses funds already appropriated.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Millions of lives depend on these investments.
