{"id":165321,"date":"2025-05-31T18:38:39","date_gmt":"2025-05-31T18:38:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.one.org\/us\/?post_type=one_press&#038;p=165321"},"modified":"2025-05-31T18:38:41","modified_gmt":"2025-05-31T18:38:41","slug":"fy-2026-budget","status":"publish","type":"one_press","link":"https:\/\/www.one.org\/us\/press\/fy-2026-budget\/","title":{"rendered":"Statement on full FY 2026 budget request"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WASHINGTON \u2013 The ONE Campaign issued the following statement on the Administration\u2019s full <a href=\"https:\/\/www.state.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/FY-2026-State-CBJ-.pdf\">budget request for FY 2026<\/a>, released last night.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The request recommends that Congress cut the overall State and International Affairs budget by more than half \u2013 from $62.7 billion in FY2024 down to $31.2 billion for FY2026. \u00a0It proposes zeroing out U.S. contributions to Gavi, the international mechanism for providing children with lifesaving vaccines, and the African Development Fund, the concessional lending arm of the African Development Bank which promotes sustainable development in low-income countries.
