Phoenix Ricks\u00a0is the Chief Communications Officer at the ONE Campaign,\u00a0where she\u00a0leads global brand, creative, and communications.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She has built her career at the intersection of communications and geopolitics, helping the U.S. government, corporations, and social sector organizations navigate complex challenges while building bridges between boardrooms and capitals.

At PepsiCo, Phoenix led global government affairs initiatives in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, negotiating with government officials on trade, even during conflicts, to ensure business continuity and consistent community engagement. In the U.S., Phoenix directed SHEIN\u2019s government advocacy and orchestrated the company\u2019s strategic repositioning in the American market. After leading public affairs in the private sector, Phoenix founded Girl Friday to help multinational corporations proactively understand global risks and develop innovative communications strategies.

While serving at the U.S. Department of State, Phoenix worked across public diplomacy portfolios, advising U.S. missions on digital diplomacy and building programs for more than 1 million alumni of U.S. government exchange programs. A highlight of her tenure was developing the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) and the Mandela Washington Fellowship for African leaders in civil society, business, and government.

Phoenix serves on the board of Social Current, and she holds a Bachelor of Science (Biology and Chemistry) from Howard University, a Master of Science (Justice, Law, and Society) from American University, and a Master of Studies (Crime and Thriller Writing) from the University of Cambridge.<\/p>\n
