Anne Finucane is the former Vice Chair of Bank of America (BofA) and Chair, Bank of America Europe. She was the first woman to serve in these roles at BofA. She is a Senior Advisor to TPG Rise Climate Fund and Chair of Rubicon Carbon, TPG\u2019s carbon credit company. Finucane serves on a number of public, private, and non-profit boards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As Vice Chair of Bank of America, Finucane led the company\u2019s strategic positioning and global sustainable and climate finance work, environmental, social and governance (ESG), capital deployment and public policy efforts. She is widely recognized for pioneering sustainable finance in the banking industry. For most of her career, Finucane also oversaw marketing, communications, and data and analytics at the company, and is credited with leading Bank of America\u2019s successful efforts to reposition the company and repair its reputation after the 2008 financial crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She established and co-chaired the company\u2019s Sustainable Finance Committee, which included a $1 trillion environmental business initiative, deploying capital to help accelerate the transition to a low-carbon, sustainable economy. She also chaired the ESG Committee, which directed the company\u2019s ESG efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Finucane chaired the Bank of America Charitable Foundation, which during her tenure deployed more than $3.5 billion in philanthropic giving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
President Biden appointed Finucane to the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board in 2022. Finucane is a member of the Global Leadership Council for the Rockefeller Foundation’s Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet, and the Council on Foreign Relations. She is a board member of CVS Health and Williams-Sonoma, and also serves on the boards of Mass General Brigham Healthcare, Brigham & Women\u2019s Hospital (as vice chair of trustees), Special Olympics (as vice chair and lead director), and Water.org. Finucane was consistently highlighted in the world\u2019s \u201cmost powerful women\u201d lists in Forbes, Fortune, and American Banker. In 2021, she received the Carnegie Hall Medal of Excellence, and in 2019 she received the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for Inspired Leadership Award and was inducted into the American Advertising Federation\u2019s Advertising Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n
