On Thursday, September 24, people around the world are coming together to #LightTheWay for 17 goals that could end extreme poverty and improve the lives of billions of people across the globe. The next day, the United Nations will formally adopt these Global Goals. One way to make sure these goals move from words to action? Tell the world!
On Thursday, we’ll gather Under One Sky: Our journey will begin with an event in Australia and move across more than 70 countries—from India and South Africa to the UK and Brazil. Find an event near you, and together—with flashlights, candles, cellphones, and more—we’ll hold a global vigil to #LightTheWay to a better future.
It’s all leading up to 6 p.m. at One Dag Hammarskjold Plaza in New York City, where we’ll gather for a light show in honor of this historic agreement. We want to take to the streets to ensure everyone—especially our world leaders—understands the importance of these goals.
We’ll be united under one sky, shining a light on the places and people whose lives could be transformed by the implementation of these goals.
