TELL CONGRESS: PASS THE BUILD ACT

To celebrate their latest album, Songs of Experience, U2 is going on tour! ONE co-founder Bono and the rest of the group — the Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen Jr. — are on the North American leg of the tour now. (See the full list of scheduled tour dates below.)

At each stop, concert goers will be able to take action with ONE. Don’t worry if you don’t have tickets to the show — you can take an action online, too!

Tell Congress to pass the BUILD Act:

The simple truth is, the best tool for fighting poverty is a job. And right now, there are a lot of American entrepreneurs and investors who want to do business in developing and fragile countries — places where new jobs and stronger economic development could make a huge difference — but can’t get the loans or insurance they need in order to do it. The BUILD Act would help create jobs for men and women in sub-Saharan Africa by helping American entrepreneurs do business there. And when women have access to jobs and income, they tend to invest in their families and their communities, helping others climb out of extreme poverty. Poverty is sexist — let’s help women and girls in developing countries thrive by passing this act.

The BUILD Act would bring tens of billions of dollars in new private-sector investment into the fight against extreme poverty. Sign the petition and tell Congress that this bipartisan-supported act MUST be passed.

Our incredible ONE volunteers are waiting to meet you at the show — stop by, say hi, and take action!

TELL CONGRESS: PASS THE BUILD ACT

The BUILD Act would bring tens of billions of dollars in new private-sector investment into the fight against extreme poverty by helping innovative entrepreneurs build infrastructure projects, create first-time access to electricity, start businesses, and expand their reach in fragile and developing countries. Together, U.S. aid programs and the private sector can provide the jobs and opportunity to help communities grow their way out of extreme poverty. Please pass the BUILD Act.
