Did you know that 73% of HIV+ pregnant women had access to ARVs in 2014? The goal at (RED) is to inspire millions of people all over the world to help us turn 73% into 100%. This June, you can help: Join Chef Mario Batali and the culinary community and help (RED) #86AIDS with EAT (RED).
Why #86AIDS? The term ’86’ is used in the American food industry to indicate that an item on the menu is gone. And that’s what we want to see happen with AIDS—it’s time to end AIDS.
Launching with The (RED) Supper, hosted by Chef Batali with Anthony Bourdain in New York City on June 2, and continuing throughout the month of June with EAT (RED) events hosted by the world’s top chefs, EAT (RED) is poised to be bigger and better than ever in 2016!
Check out the below PSA featuring Mario, then visit red.org/eat for the list of events to find one near you. And if there isn’t one listed yet, keep checking back for additional opportunities to EAT (RED) this June.
In addition to the events, (RED) and celebrity chefs are teaming up for a new Snapchat cooking show this June called The (RED) Kitchen. Every episode will be hosted by a new celebrity chef who will teach those of us strapped for time and cash how to cook an easy and delicious recipe, right from the kitchen at (RED) HQ:
- Episode 1 — June 7 at 10 a.m. ET with Chef Chloe Coscarelli
- Episode 2— June 10 at 10 a.m. ET with Chef Dominique Ansel
- Episode 3 — June 15 at 10 a.m. ET with Chef Elizabeth Faulkner
- Episode 4 — June 24 at 10 a.m. ET with Chef Christine Flynn
Add (RED) as a friend on Snapchat (username: Red), then check out their Snapchat story on the above dates to watch the episodes!
