Last year, ONE members across the country worked tirelessly to get an energy bill passed through Congress. While the bill didn’t pass (yet!), you all introduced the issue of energy poverty to Capitol Hill. That’s HUGE!
Because of everything you did, we aren’t starting from scratch this year – but we need to get a bill introduced! A bill that would mean kids wouldn’t have to study in the dark or families wouldn’t have to cook over a open fire. This is our year to get this passed.
We know you probably have questions about the bill and the issue of energy poverty in general, so we recruited ONE’s Government Relations Director, Matt Leffingwell to help clear things up. Take a look!
