On May 20th the House passed the Global Fragility Act. As the Senate moves the bill through the legislative process, we’ve collected some questions about the bill, what it does, and the impact it will have on the fight to end extreme poverty. If you’ve watched the news lately, you might have heard the term “fragile state.” When a crisis hits a fragile state, the effects can be devastating, and often contribute to the cycle of extreme poverty. In order to end extreme poverty , the world must do better about reaching the extreme poor who live in fragile states. This is a big challenge, but not an insurmountable one.
