Ahead of World AIDS Day on December 1, the third annual (SHOPATHON)RED has launched!
Here’s the big news: For the first time ever, (RED) is teaming up with Amazon to provide you with one destination to shop more than 150 great (RED) products and gifts that all help fight AIDS.
And as the official payment provider of (SHOPATHON)RED, Bank of America is making your holiday dollars go even further. For every dollar spent on Amazon.com/RED during (SHOPATHON)RED, Bank of America will donate 30 cents to fight AIDS with (RED), up to $1.5 million.
(RED) is a division of ONE, and was founded in 2006 to engage people and companies in the fight against AIDS. (RED) works with the world’s most iconic brands and organizations to develop (RED)-branded products and services that, when purchased, trigger corporate giving to the Global Fund. These contributions are then invested in HIV/AIDS programs in Africa, with a focus on countries with high prevalence of mother-to-child transmission of HIV.
To date, (RED) has generated more than $475 million for the Global Fund to support HIV/AIDS grants in Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Rwanda, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, and Zambia. One-hundred percent of the money (RED) raises goes to work on the ground—no overhead is taken. Global Fund grants that (RED) supports have impacted more than 90 million people with prevention, treatment, counseling, HIV testing, and care services.
Visit Amazon.com/RED to shop (RED) and give back this holiday season!
