(RED)RUSH Music: Three great ways to make noise for HIV/AIDS

Over the past few days, we’ve been putting the spotlight on some of our favorite (RED)RUSH actions for ONE members to take part in, like playing video games and checking in to foursquare, to help raise funds and awareness for HIV/AIDS.

And now, for all you music lovers out there, are three great ways you can get involved with (RED)RUSH Music:

1. Go out to a rock show. The world’s biggest artists are auctioning off tickets for some of the best seats in the house at their upcoming concerts. All proceeds from these (RED)ROWS will help deliver an AIDS-Free Generation by 2015. Participants include Coldplay, The Killers, Tim McGraw, and the Black Keys. Check out the (RED)RUSH Calendar for the latest details on a (RED) gig near you.

2. Hit up your local music venue and see whether they’re going (RED). Stubbs in Austin, Metro in Chicago, Brooklyn Bowl in New York and the Paramount, Neptune and Moore theatres in Seattle will be promoting (RED)RUSH throughout the week.

3. Download the first single off of (RED) Hot + FELA’s new album, “Lady.” It’s a remake of Fela Kuti’s original song, and features Angelique Kidjo, tUnE-yArDs, Akua Naru and Questlove from the Roots. Listen to a preview of the song here:

So far, (RED), with help from ONE members just like you, has helped raise $153,000 for the Global Fund to support HIV/AIDS programs in Africa. And we’re just on Day 6! There’s just four more days to participate in (RED)RUSH, so get crackin’!
