This is an emergency. 49 million people around the world are at risk of famine, driven by the war in Ukraine, soaring food prices, climate shocks and the COVID-19 pandemic.
Add your voice to our petition urging world leaders to end the hunger crisis by fully funding humanitarian appeals and investing in fair and sustainable food production.
According to data from the International Labour Organization (ILO), almost half of Africa’s youth in the workforce were either unemployed or working poor in 2019. Since the pandemic hit, more people are out of jobs than ever before, with women and young people impacted the most.
To address this urgent issue of unemployment, we’ve launched the JobsNowAfrica Campaign to help create 15 million decent jobs in Africa each year by 2025.
Join our call for more jobs in Africa
Without urgent action, the pandemic, climate disasters and devastating wars will continue to push millions of people into joblessness, poverty and hunger. We refuse to be broken by these crises and the cycle of injustice that comes with them. We can rebuild our world for the better, for everyone. We are GenerAction.
Join us and tell leaders it’s time to rewrite the future.

From school closures to the difficulties of home learning, many of us have seen the impact of COVID-19 on our children’s education. Every child deserves a life full of opportunities, starting with learning.
But even before the pandemic, a shocking 90% of 10-year-olds in low-income countries couldn’t read and understand something simple like a health leaflet or a school test. COVID-19 will make this number even worse and girls, in particular, may fall through the cracks. This is a catastrophe for the future of entire generations, unless we act now.
Add your name to our petition urging governments to prioritize global education.
