Scott McDonald
Chief Development Officer
Scott McDonald is ONE’s Chief Development officer, leading the global resource mobilization strategy for ONE and (RED) as well as building partnerships for the fight against extreme poverty and preventable disease.
Prior to joining ONE, Scott oversaw the major donor and mid-level giving programs at International Medical Corps, where he launched its first ever capital campaign.
A passionate enthusiast for the ability of philanthropy and partnerships to support responses and solutions to some of society’s systemic challenges, Scott has spent two decades working with leading philanthropists, foundations, and global brands to effectively deliver impact that makes a positive contribution to the lives of those served through a range of mission-driven initiatives. These have included International Rescue Committee, where he was Vice President responsible for private sector engagement in support of IRC’s humanitarian work, as well as development leadership roles at the Milken Institute, Guggenheim Museum and the foundations of former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair and US President Bill Clinton.
Scott is a graduate of the University of Edinburgh (undergrad) and the Royal College of Art, London (graduate). More recently he completed a certificate program at the London School of Economics in data analysis for management, and is currently an executive MBA (Social Impact) candidate at the University of New South Wales Business School in Sydney, Australia.
