As Chief Development Officer Scott McDonald leads the global resource mobilization strategy for ONE and (RED), including building partnerships for the fight against extreme poverty and preventable disease.
Scott is an experienced nonprofit leader who has worked with a range of organizations – their founders, leaders and Boards – at transformative moments to resource and scale their growth and impact, as well as with the world’s leading philanthropists, foundations, and brands to support those efforts. He is a passionate enthusiast for the ability of philanthropy and partnerships to respond to and address some of society’s systemic challenges, as well as the opportunities to mobilize multi-sector collaborations and innovative approaches in the pursuit of positive social change and impact.
Previous roles have included overseeing significant resource mobilization efforts at global NGOs International Medical Corps and International Rescue Committee, establishing new funding programs for the nonprofits founded by former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair as well as leadership positions at the Milken Institute, Guggenheim Museum and the Clinton Foundation.
