Dorine Nininahazwe
AU and East Africa Director
Dorine Nininahazwe is ONE’s AU and East Africa Director. She has extensive professional experience in communications, advocacy and project implementation. Before joining ONE, she worked with the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR), an intergovernmental organization of 12 African countries whose mission is to promote sustainable peace and security in the Great Lakes of Africa.
Dorine previously worked at the joint United Nations/African Union Secretariat for the Great Lakes Region and was involved in the preparation of the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Great Lakes Region of Africa. The Summit culminated in the signing of a Pact on Security, Stability and Development in the Great Lakes Region in 2006.
She has also worked as a communications officer and research coordinator for the National Television of Burundi.
