André Pienaar

André Pienaar is the founder of C5, a specialist venture capital firm focused on cyber security, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing with offices in London, Washington, Luxembourg, Munich, and Bahrain. Pienaar serves on the boards of several companies, including 4iQ, the leading identity intelligence and attribution analysis platform, as well as IronNet Cybersecurity, a global firm providing enterprise-grade technology to analyse, detect, and prioritize digital threats for organizations and governments.
André started his career at Kroll Inc. and after the successful selling of the company to Marsh Mclennan, he then went on to found the Good Governance Group (G3), a strategic advisory consultancy, which was sold to Europe’s leading technology investment holding company in 2011.
André spends considerable time and energy on multiple organizations making impacts. For example, he advised on the creation of the Defense and National Rehabilitation Centre, a clinical rehabilitation centre for the armed forces and the nation established by the 6th Duke of Westminster. Further, he is a member of USIP (United States Institute of Peace) advisory council, focused on aiding the team guide peace talks and advise governments to help troubled countries solve their own conflicts peacefully. Other roles include serving on the councils of Foreign Leadership and the President’s Council of the International Crisis Group.
Charitable interests include The White House Historical Association a group committed to promoting and preserving the rich history of America’s Executive Mansion. André is a Director of ICMEC as well as a trustee of the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation and the Global Leadership Council of ONE.
