No Poverty

End poverty in all its forms everywhere

1 in 8 of us live in extreme poverty. Ending it will be the greatest global challenge of our generation, but it’s possible.

Being born into poverty means every part of your life is harder. From surviving to your 5th birthday, to getting a good education, having enough nutritious food and clean water to stay healthy, finding work and supporting your own family – the odds are stacked against you.

The good news is we’ve already cut extreme poverty by more than half since 1990. We know we can finish the job by 2030, and create a world where every child gets a fair chance at life, no matter where they are born.

Stand as ONE

World leaders have agreed to 17 Global Goals that would mean a better life for all of us. The Goals are a plan to build a world where children don't go to bed hungry, where girls get the same opportunity to thrive as boys, and where people don't die of preventable diseases. It's one of the most incredible to-do lists ever written - but now we need to turn words into action.

As long as poverty, injustice and gross inequality exist in our world, none of us can truly rest.

Nelson Mandela

Mandela's words represent what it means to be a ONE member and at the birth of these ambitious new goals, we will not rest until they are achieved. Stand with more than 9 million others and in Mandela's honour - pledge to use your voice. We know it has power to change lives and bring about a better world for all of us, as ONE.
