Follow along as Billy — our UK Campaigns Manager — blogs about his experiences touring with U2 and bringing the fight against extreme poverty across Europe!
The best part of my job is meeting ONE members – the lifeblood of our movement.
My 4 years at ONE have been shaped by those experiences. I’ve been lucky enough to meet the Irish Prime Minister alongside our Irish Youth Ambassadors who declared “Poverty is Sexist” and that we must do more to tackle gender inequality, join ONE Campus Leaders and Congressional Districts Leaders in Washington, DC to ask Congress to support life-saving aid, and even travel to Abuja, Nigeria to be awe-inspired by our 2018 ONE Champions determined to fight for better healthcare.
So, that’s why I’ve done something dramatic. I’ve packed up my belongings, put my life on hold, and joined U2’s eXPERIENCE and iNNOCENCE 2018 tour in Europe! I’ll be managing our wonderful volunteers who will sign up thousands of new people to the fight against extreme poverty.
… and WE’RE OFF 🙌
I’m joining @ONECampaign & @U2 on the #U2eiTour & we’re in #Berlin tonight for the first show.
If you’re here say hello to these amazing volunteers & sign our #PovertyisSexist petition 💪🇩🇪#ONEonTour pic.twitter.com/BDnIeayO0e

We’ve got 33 shows ahead of us, 768 volunteer spots to fill, and, hopefully, tens of thousands of new ONE members joining our fight for a better world.
This week, we had our first shows in Germany and we were joined by some incredible volunteers. Check out the photos and videos below!
