See your name up in lights in New York – sign our Poverty is Sexist petition and we’ll project it with more than 1 million others for world leaders to see.
More than 1 million people – from Lagos to London – have already come together to say Poverty is Sexist. They are asking world leaders to act NOW and help girls and women everywhere reach their full potential.
So we’re going to make sure our leaders can’t ignore us. How?
By projecting those 1 million names in New York in September when world leaders will all be there.
It will be big, bold and there’s no way they will miss it.
No matter how you cut it – socially, economically, legally – girls and women in the poorest countries get a raw deal. But this isn’t just a women’s issue. We’ll end poverty faster – for everyone – if girls and women, boys and men get involved together.
World leaders have a historic meeting at the United Nations in New York in just a few weeks – and we’ve already delivered our petition in person to a lot of them (including six African heads of state). So we’re doing something huge to make sure this issue is something they can’t ignore.
We’ll let you know when it happens so you don’t miss seeing this incredible moment where we show just how powerful our voices are when we speak as one.
