No, not for the rodeo.&nbsp;(Although we&nbsp;definitely donned&nbsp;some&nbsp;cowboy hats, you can check out the evidence below.)&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For ten days every July,&nbsp;the&nbsp;Calgary&nbsp;landscape transforms into a place where&nbsp;politicians, faith leaders, business executives, and nonprofits&nbsp;are&nbsp;shoulder&nbsp;to shoulder at the same breakfasts and receptions.&nbsp;It&#8217;s&nbsp;more than just a moment to see and be&nbsp;seen,&nbsp;it&#8217;s&nbsp;a time to coalesce on shared priorities.&nbsp;Here is what happened:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-opening-new-doors-nbsp-nbsp\"><strong>Opening new doors&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We spent the week moving between political events, faith gatherings, and sector mixers, connecting with a wide range of partners: global health and vaccine organizations, business and industry groups, humanitarian and development nonprofits, a major tech company, provincial health services, and several Members of Parliament.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We&nbsp;met with student&nbsp;groups who&nbsp;expressed interest&nbsp;want&nbsp;to bring our&nbsp;Global Activist Program to campus.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"630\" height=\"420\" src=\"http:\/\/www.one.org\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2026\/07\/Stampede2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-164537\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.one.org\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2026\/07\/Stampede2.png 630w, https:\/\/www.one.org\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2026\/07\/Stampede2-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/www.one.org\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2026\/07\/Stampede2-16x11.png 16w, https:\/\/www.one.org\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2026\/07\/Stampede2-320x213.png 320w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-postcards-with-a-purpose-nbsp\"><strong>Postcards with a purpose<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We closed the week with our Calgary-based&nbsp;Global Activists, handing out postcards for community outreach before they&nbsp;are&nbsp;mailed&nbsp;to&nbsp;the&nbsp;Minister of Foreign Affairs,&nbsp;Anita Anand.&nbsp;It&#8217;s&nbsp;the kickoff to our energy campaign with&nbsp;our longtime partner,&nbsp;Engineers Without Borders.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/act.one.org\/letter\/trade-africa-email-anand-canada-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">See the digital version here<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-nbsp-we-re-nbsp-taking-home-nbsp\"><strong>What&nbsp;we&#8217;re&nbsp;taking home<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Calgary continues to stand out as&nbsp;an important place&nbsp;for relationship building.
