The two new board members bring considerable leadership experience and expertise in international relations to ONE\u2019s mission to end extreme poverty and preventable disease.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Chimhanzi is CEO of the African Leadership Institute. She serves in a number of advisory capacities, including as an independent non-executive board member of the AdvTech Group and Econet Wireless Zimbabwe, a member of the ONE Africa Policy Advisory Board, and a member of the World Economic Forum\u2019s Africa Regional Strategy Group. Dr Chimhanzi was formerly the Senior Strategist of the Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa (IDC) and a Strategy Lead at Deloitte Consulting.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Stubb is Director of the School of Transnational Governance at the European University Institute in Florence and the former Prime Minister of Finland. He previously served as the Finance Minister, Foreign Minister, and Trade and Europe Minister of Finland, and held the position of Vice-President of the European Investment Bank. Professor Stubb has written numerous books and academic articles on European affairs and publishes columns for several newspapers, including the Financial Times.<\/p>\n<p>Tom Hart, Acting President and CEO of ONE, said: \u201cI\u2019m delighted that Jackie and Alexander are joining our Board. As global development advocates they both bring an impressive array of experience, expertise and insights. Their contributions will be invaluable as we stand at a critical point in the fight to end the pandemic.\u201d<br \/>\nTom Freston, ONE Board Chair, said: \u201cOn behalf of the Board, it\u2019s a privilege to have Jacqueline and Alexander onboard. They will provide fresh perspectives as we continue our fight against global poverty and inequality.
