If countries could crack down on these deals, recover the money, and tax it at normal rates, it could raise enough money to save an average of 3.6 million lives a year through spending on basic health systems.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-we-achieved\">What we achieved<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Our European Youth Ambassadors were out on the streets raising awareness. Behind the scenes, we briefed policymakers and journalists about our campaign to secure media coverage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We gained media coverage in more than 50 countries, including in 16 of the G20 countries.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The G20 agreed to complete a plan to combat tax avoidance by multinational companies, endorsed a global standard for the automatic exchange of tax information, and pledged to begin to exchange information with each other and with other countries. All of these have been implemented.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The G20 agreed to crack down on secret company ownership by implementing the G20 High-Level Principles on Beneficial Ownership Transparency.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-background has-neon-background-color oneorg-block-group oneorg-block-group-impact oneorg-block-group-impact--2 has-dark-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-9e04f26cb45debe7b9bb727011b2a49d is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\" id=\"h-impact\">Impact<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.one.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/PolicyDoc_Icon_300x300-1024x1024.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1270\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Over 88,000 people signed our petition, which we delivered to governments as they headed to the G20 meetings.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.one.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Amplify_Icon_300x300-1024x1024.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1269\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>More than 15,000 people sent tweets and messages directly to G20 finance ministers ahead of the meetings.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading no-border\" id=\"h-what-we-did\">What we did<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We launched a campaign to get world leaders to put an end to it, calling for new transparency laws.
