Benin-born Angélique is a member of ONE’s Africa Policy Advisory Board, a team of great minds who come together to discuss the pressing issues facing the continent and play a key role in informing ONE’s work across Africa.
She also travels the world as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador to raise awareness of the importance of girls’ education and help eliminate gender disparity in primary and secondary schools. She is the co-founder of the Batonga Foundation, which gives scholarships to girls in Benin, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Mali and Sierra Leone.
Angélique believes that gender inequality in education must be tackled head-on, and we couldn’t agree more.
