Every parent deserves to give their child a healthy start in life.

Every parent wants their kids to have a healthy start in life. But every year, millions of parents lose their kids to illnesses like diarrhea and pneumonia because they don't have access to life-saving, childhood vaccines.

We can change that fact. How? If we push President Obama to give Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, the funding it deserves in next year’s budget. He's making decisions right now so we don't have much time.

Dear President Obama,

Every child deserves a healthy start in life. But 1 in 5 children still don't get the vaccines they need. That's wrong. Please step up your support of Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance and help save more than 5 million children's lives over the next 5 years.

Going for Goal Report

Learn how GAVI and vaccines are saving lives.

ONE’s new report looks at each team playing in this summer’s World Cup (as well as a few others who didn’t make the cut), analysing their countries’ contributions to global immunisation efforts and offering up “pundit’s verdicts” for their future performance. It also spotlights GAVI’s “corporate sponsors,” and offers 5 key recommendations around vaccine financing, coverage, and equity that will help make GAVI’s game plan a success.

What is GAVI?

The GAVI Alliance (GAVI) is a public-private partnership that helps to ensure that more children can access the vaccines they need to stay healthy. Since 2000, GAVI has supported the immunization of 440 million children and has saved more than 6 million lives. But now it is facing a new challenge: by raising an additional $7.5 billion over the next five years, it can support the immunisation of an additional 300 million children and save more than 5 million additional lives.
