School is back in session and ONE Campus leaders are wasting no time. Check out how they have hit the ground running, representing ONE on the campaign trail.
Here’s a quick update on what some of our ONE Campus Challenge participants have been doing in the past couple of weeks to show elected officials that young activists care about the world’s poorest people:
Obama and Romney
ONE students at Ohio State University really kept with the bipartisan mission of ONE, attending rallies for both President Barack Obama and Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney. They made sure to get there early, and after waiting in long lines, were right near the front. They made sure to represent ONE with their T-shirts, and were easily recognizable in the crowds.

Former Governor & Senate Candidate Linda Lingle
Brigham Young University Hawaii attended a rally for former Governor Linda Lingle, a Republican candidate for the Senate. Afterward, the students were able to meet with Lingle to discuss foreign aid and international development. The former governor was very receptive and gracious to our ONE members. Did we mention how awesome they all looked in their ONE T-shirts? Way to go Seasiders!
Congressman Mike Doyle

On September 18th, ONE members at the University of Pittsburgh went to a campus event where they spoke with Representative Mike Doyle, a Democrat for Pennsylvania’s 14th Congressional District. Doyle is a long time supporter of ONE, and UPitt students were fortunate enough to be able to thank him for his continued support. They also gave the congressman a ONE bracelet and booklet. Mike Doyle is running for reelection. Great showing Panthers!
