ONE members have been using their voices in the local faith communities since 2004, beating back extreme poverty, hunger and disease like AIDS. We're not asking for money, we're asking for people of faith to speak out on behalf of our most vulnerable sisters and brothers— inspired advocacy for smart solutions. 2011 was a big year for Faith at ONE: Over 1700 faith communities taking part in Lazarus Sunday to raise awareness about AIDS and hundreds of voices for ONE Sabbath to "fight the famine and feed the future." Faith has always been a driving force behind social change. Recognizing this, Faith at ONE seeks to enlist and mobilize faith communities in the fight to end extreme poverty and preventable, treatable disease, by inviting people of faith to use their voices and join in our advocacy campaigns. We're not asking for money, we're asking for voices to speak out on behalf of our most vulnerable sisters and brothers—for smart, effective programs that are saving lives and seeking long term sustainable development.
