Before each show, Tai and Rev. Nigel James, the band’s tour pastor, talked to the crowd about some good news for a change. Like all of the progress we’ve made recently in the fight against extreme poverty, such as the 51 million kids going to school for the first time in sub-Saharan Africa in the last 10 years, and the 670,000 HIV/AIDS infections prevented in kids between 2009 and 2012.
We want to keep this good news coming. Over the course of three concerts, more than 500 people took the time to write letters to their senators in support of programs helping our brothers and sisters around the world, and over 1,000 people answered the call from the stage to join our Mobile Action Team, agreeing to take action when it’s most needed. Now we’d like to ask all Third Day fans to join us in continuing this fight. You can take action right now! Make a call to your senator and ask them to protect these life-saving programs that have led to this incredible progress. Make your call now.
