Yesterday, there was no escape from ONE in the European Parliament in Brussels. More than 130 ONE Youth Ambassadors in Europe met in Brussels, Belgium to rally for our ONE VOTE 2014 campaign and tell Europe, our biggest bilateral aid donor, that they have an important role to play in the fight against extreme poverty.
After their march to Parliament, they spent the day talking to MEPs about why it’s important to keep their promises to world’s poorest, and help ensure that our laws make it easier for the them to lift themselves out of poverty.
The Youth Ambassadors brought with them messages for MEPs sent in by our ONE members. Here’s some of the messages our members wanted to our Youth Ambassadors to share.
The EU must do its bit because no one wants to have to live on less than $1.25 a day #onesummit

#onesummit – MEPs – Please sign the ONE VOTE 2014 pledge and commit to help end extreme poverty by 2030.

The message couldn’t be clearer; “sign our pledge” they chanted!
