There are good cuts and bad cuts.
Some of the good: The flattering haircut (except maybe that bowl cut as a kid). The can’t-be-beat price cut. Fresh cut flowers. A great cut of meat (bacon counts, right?).
Some of the bad: Paper cuts. Cell phones cutting out (“can you hear me now?”). Cutting teeth (parents, you know what we mean).
But you know what’s one of the worst cuts of all?
Budget cuts…especially to life-saving, poverty-fighting programs. And right now, we’re particularly worried about the potential for budget cuts to a truly bipartisan AIDS program – the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).
Sign our petition and make sure this life-saving program gets the funding it deserves.
It’s already prevented 1 million kids from getting HIV and saved the lives of millions more adults. And if it gets much-needed support, it will save millions more AND get us even closer to the beginning of the end of AIDS.
Let’s tell Congress we’ve got to keep up the fight against AIDS. The petition reads:
Please increase PEPFAR funding – and protect life-saving programs that fight global poverty – in the FY15 budget. Why? Because this bipartisan program has saved millions of lives, and without it, the beginning of the end of AIDS will fall out of reach.
Thanks so much for your support.
