Wow. In just a few weeks, our ONE Campus chapters have registered more than 1,500 voters, collected 3,400 postcards to Congressional candidates, participated in more than one dozen candidate engagements, and taken more than 3,000 other poverty-fighting actions. ONE student chapters new and old have stepped up to the plate to put extreme poverty on the agenda!
But there’s one school that rose to the top for Challenge 1. Congratulations to the University of Virginia for collecting the most new member sign-ups, petition signatures, voter registrations, and postcards to the candidates. Way to go Cavaliers!
Second place goes to Brigham Young University – Hawaii for their high-level candidate engagement, and third place to the University of Iowa for their creative “Vote 2012 – Take it to the Street” campaign. Thanks to all our participating ONE schools!
Now, ready to rock Challenge 2? We’re asking students to ask their dining halls to serve sweet potatoes for our campaign to end global child nutrition. Details here.
