The ONE umbrella made its second national appearance on MSNBC’s Hardball with Chris Matthews last night, but better weather today definitely helped our ONE volunteers stand out! Charlotte ONE members gathered an hour before the show to stake out good spots around the Hardball stage located in a hip, shopping area called the EpiCentre. You could see the ONE logo throughout the show but especially when the host, Chris Matthews, came down from the stage to talk to spectators. You can see from the pictures that we were that close to getting a soundbite!

A number of the volunteers were from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, so I think this year’s edition of ONE Campus Challenge may have some new competition. Watch out!
After the show, we ran into the world’s largest mosquito. Our friends at the UN Foundation have a new Nothing But Nets mascot, a giant mosquito named Mozzie. Check out our photos and be sure to leave a comment with some words of encouragement for our volunteers.
