“Every time you spend your money, you’re casting a vote for the kind of world you want.” -Small Planet Institute Founding Principal and global activist Anna Lappe

The Enough Project, an organization that focuses on ending genocide and crimes against humanity in Sudan and Congo, just ranked the largest electronics companies in the world on their efforts toward using and investing in conflict-free minerals in their products.

According to their website, the goal of Enough’s ranking is to help consumers understand what actions companies are (or aren’t) taking to contribute to the creation of a clean minerals trade in Congo, and ultimately, the reduction of conflict there.

Use their ranking chart to find out whether the electronic gadgets you use — like your cell phone, mp3 player, stereo, TV, etc. — are conflict-free. If not, send a message to the company and remind them how important conflict-free materials are to you.

Get started by clicking one of the photos below. It will take you to Enough Project’s website, where you can click on a company and send them a message.
