Your voices, delivered across the country

When you open that email up from us here at ONE, we ask you to raise your voice in the fight against extreme poverty. You click on the link and sign a petition, usually urging your Member of Congress to take important action to save lives. Well, we’d like to tell you about how those mouse-clicks turn into real world advocacy.

Once the signatures are collected online, we prepare printed packets with all of the signers names and, of course, the petition language addressed to your Member of Congress. With our latest petition, pushing for programs that are turning the tide in the fight against AIDS, ONE volunteers across the country made sure your voices were heard by delivering these packets to over 120 local congressional offices. ONE volunteers make sure that the members and their staff know that ONE members like you, their local constituents, care about protecting cost-effective AIDS programs that are saving lives.

From Washington state all the way down to Florida, ONE volunteer leaders gathered to deliver your signatures to the office of your Member of Congress.

Volunteers even met a few Congress members themselves when they popped by the office– some even posed for pictures with ONE members.
