The International AIDS Conference (IAC) takes place in Washington, D.C., this month, and we’re sending two of our global health experts, Erin Hohlfelder and Khai Tram, to the week-long event to report on it for the ONE Blog.
To shake things up, we thought it might be fun for them to take part in a scavenger hunt with items crowdsourced from ONE members. Then, during the week, they can keep on the lookout for those items, take photos of them to post on the ONE Blog (as proof) and check ‘em off the list. Whoever has the most items checked off first (yes, they’re playing against each other), wins.
So, this week, we’d like your suggestions of what items that Erin and Khai should look for during their scavenger hunt at the International AIDS Conference. They should all be somewhat global health-related, and of course, something or someone that could be found at the IAC (check out their website to get a better sense of what’s happening). Here are some examples to start off with:
- A celebrity
- A public official
- A new AIDS medicine
- A crazy-colored condom
- An AIDS activist who has been to at least 3 IACs
Put your suggestions in the comments section below. We look forward to reading them! And we’ll post our final list this Friday.
