This past weekend, people from around the world descended on Bader Field in Atlantic City, New Jersey for the ORION Music + More festival. Of course, New Jersey ONE members were there to introduce concertgoers to ONE.
During the two-day festival, we had the chance to speak with thousands of folks about how they can use their voices in the fight against extreme poverty and preventable, treatable diseases. It was great to speak with so many people who really understand what we are working toward, including a US Marine who shared his experiences in Haiti, and another young man who had taken a mission trip to Zambia.
Over the two days, we signed up more than 400 new ONE members and also had people sign ONE’s current petition to Congress, urging them to reverse proposed budget cuts to the life-saving AIDS program, PEPFAR, and fulfill our commitments to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. You can sign that petition here.
