We began with more than 1,500 applicants, narrowed the list down to our top 50 students who then mobilized their social networks to vote them into the top 20. Those 20 came to DC to attend the 2012 ONE Power Summit, fine tune their advocacy skills, and lobby on Capitol Hill. And now we are very excited to announce the winners of ONE and Chegg for Good’s 2012 “Are You the ONE” internship in Africa and travel with us to South Africa and Zambia this July.

These students will travel to South Africa and Zambia this summer, where they will have the opportunity to meet with young African students, visit health care facilities, discuss innovation with key community leaders, and so much more.
They will also be posting their stories and photos from the ground right here on the ONE Blog, so stay tuned to hear their first hand accounts about how young people are changing the face of Africa, and the tremendous benefit smart US investments are having in the lives of those affected by extreme poverty.
Follow them using the hashtag #takeme2Africa on Twitter and follow along on Chegg for Good’s Facebook page.
