A 360 degree view of the Digital Media Lounge

Kara and I are live-blogging from the U.N. Foundation and Mashable’s Digital Media Lounge at the 92Y here in New York City. There’s a lot going on — between bites of bagel and fielding emails, I’ve caught a glimpse of *gasp* Craig David, been invited to two different talks and skimmed through a media briefing from Oxfam. Phew!

There are bloggers around me from all parts of the world. To my left, there’s a writer from Columbia University’s journal of international affairs, and to the right, there’s a woman from ActionAid International. They’ve all gathered here to get in-person access to MDG experts, watch a live-stream of the UN Summit and stay plugged in.

Our staff photographer Morgana Wingard came by to take some photos of the Lounge. I think she did a great job of giving a 360-degree view of the event. Here are some of my favorites:

The one and only Craig David came by to talk about tuberculosis in a panel discussion today. Here he is, pictured with TB/HIV patient and activist Lucy Chesire and Lee Reichman, a TB expert.

Waiting for a panel discussion to start in the 92Y’s main auditorium:

Blogging from the main lounge room. Kara and I look busy right? It’s because we are!

Fortunata gets interviewed by an show ironically named “That’s So New York.”

Bloggers at the event. This is serious business!
