sign the petitionWe were right to be worried. Last night, The Guardian reported: “Confidential papers reveal Europeans want assistance for poorer countries to come from existing cash pot.”

Nearly 15,000 ONE members have signed our petition asking the Danish Prime Minister to prevent this dangerous double counting when he hosts the Copenhagen climate negotiations starting next week. But if the headlines are correct, we need to redouble our efforts as this shady accounting threatens to undermine development efforts and the new global climate deal.

If you haven’t signed the petition, please do so now.

But signing the petition is only the first step. Please also take a second to convince at least two friends to sign as well. You’d be surprised how easy it is convince someone with a simple email, or even posting this blog post to Facebook or Twitter.

Mainstream media or the worlds leading scientists may have there opinions.

But don’t you believe your own eyes and ears look out of the window, look how the weather patterns have changed over the last 25 years.

Those of you who are not that old ask your parents or grandparents about the weather when they were young.

I am 68 years old and I can remember when you had snow every December to February and hot summers every June to August.

There seem to be a misunderstanding with many people with the use of the wording Global Warming and Save the Planet; I think people would understand better if we called it CLIMATE DISTRUCTION and SAVE THE PEOPLE.

Because if the change in the climate goes too far. Hurricanes’ in Britain and deserts in Europe etc will come to fruition and could make this planet uninhabitable, i.e. no more people, As far as the Planet goes it has all the time in the world.” Pardon the pun” and it will recover in time, it may be a few hundred thousand years, but to the earth that is no time at all, it has done it before.

Let’s play safe and do what ever we can to at least put right the mess we have caused in the last Three Hundred Years, and do it now not in Twenty Five or Fifty years time.
