With just a few days until President Van Rompuy, President Schulz, and President Barroso accept the Nobel Peace Prize on behalf of the European Union, we wanted to remind the leaders that EU budget fight is far from over.

So we channeled the spirit of another Nobel Laureate Wangari Maathai and hand-delivered laurel trees to each of the Presidents, adorned with messages of hope and encouragement from ONE members. Protecting EU development aid in the on-going budget negotiations will be the most fitting way the EU can live up to the ideals encapsulated through the Nobel Prize.
