Campus Challenge Members
New to ONE and the ONE Campus Challenge? Here are some of the best ways to get started:
Sign up for the ONE Campus Challenge on our homepage. Your school automatically gets 100 points just for your sign up!
Invite your friends and classmates to join your school's OCC group.
Check out the Monthly Calendar and list of actions to learn what you can do, either on your own or with your group, to earn points for your school. (Some of this stuff is really easy!)
Find out How To: Become a Campus Leader if your school doesn't have one already. The leader can customize the school's OCC page, send emails to other students on campus who have signed up, and if the school makes the top 100, participate in the Power 100 Summit in January.
Check out our guide on How To: Engage Your Campus.
Contact your Campus Leader through your school's page, or contact your COA if you have questions or need advice.
Campus Leaders
If you're a new Campus Leader, you've got some work to do -- but the good news is, a lot of this is going to be fun, not to mention good experience for your future career and most importantly, all building towards making a difference in the fight against global poverty. So here's how you get started as a leader:
Get in touch with your COA, if you haven't already, to let her or him know you're getting started. She or he should serve as your OCC mentor, providing tips, advice and support throughout the season.
Set up your school's OCC webpage. You might be customizing it for the first time, or just updating it from last year. But this is really important since everyone who signs up for OCC with your school is going to see this page -- don't miss the chance to get them more involved!
Use Your Professors. Find faculty who are willing to support a ONE group on campus. Include these faculty members in your initial planning phase, as well.
Hold a meeting. Have a sit-down meeting with your initial group of supporters, and check out our guide on How To: Hold a Meeting for some tips. You can even invite your Campus Outreach Ambassador to come.
Launch. Once the groundwork is laid, it is time to proceed with the official launch of the campus chapter. Hold an event to signify your group's launch.
