Are You A Fan of ONE?A couple of weeks ago we quietly rolled out our latest presence on Facebook, http://www.facebook.com/one. It’s just getting rolling, so go on over to Facebook and check it out. Make sure to share it with your friends too! Make Your Own OCC Facebook Application
I’ve made a simple template Facebook application that you can customize for your campus. Once people install the application there will be a box installed in their profile that will allow their friends to sign up with the Campus Challenge and for you to post updates on the latest meetings and activities. Here’s what you need to do to install the application:
Leave comments to let me know what you think and any ideas you have about how we can better use social networks for the Campus Challenge. HUZZAH!!!
We are united now. Armed with information and direction, we have an opportunity for every campus in this country to be ONE and every voter to be informed on the issues of global poverty and disease. We can get legislation passed that provides universal education and improve child mortality, and we can put a president in the White House committed to attacking the disparities in our world. The next step for us is to transform all this online electricity into actions and to get others to join us as ONE. AboutThe OCC Blog is a daily log of the ONE Campus Challenge, a friendly competition to determine which university's student body has the most effective global poverty-fighting campaign. The site is operated by ONE staff, Campus Outreach Ambassadors (COAs), and Campus Leaders. The content of each post represents the views of that post's author and does not necessarily reflect the views of ONE. ONE does not support or oppose any candidate for elected office, and any post expressing support or opposition for a candidate is not endorsed by ONE.
