On October 1, our University of Connecticut OCC chapter teamed up with Husky Sport, a group of athletes on campus who help out in the community by educating children about nutrition and fitness. We went to an elementary school in the north end of Hartford to help clean-up their school and a local park. Of course, we also had a chance to play with the kids and act as role models! It was a very rewarding experience and we had a lot of fun doing it too. We will also teaming up with them for a huge World AIDS Day event. More to come in December!
